Workforce Development

Chenango County fosters a variety of partnerships to assist businesses with their needs. With organizations like the CDO Workforce System coordinating the efforts of 27 partner agencies including the New York State Department of Labor, Offices of Employment & Training, Commerce Chenango, and Educational Institutions, resources are available to help in locating and hiring, qualified individuals. Community partners such as Morrisville State College and DCMO BOCES can provide post-secondary and vocational training in a customized class-room setting and/or in-house fashion. In addition to recruitment & training services, the community partners also reinforce employee retention by providing support services such as daycare, transportation assistance, and counseling.
